Trail of Painted Ponies News Flash!

We've just received word that Trail of Painted Ponies is moving the license for the production of Trail of Painted Ponies figurines from Westland Giftware, to Enesco. We really don't know much about Enesco. We'd appreciate your comments on this development. Please weigh in. What do you think the outcome of this move will be?

Enesco has been around for a long time, but I can't help but think that the ponies that we know will be made from a much cheaper media, and will carry a much higher price tag. Thanks Westland for a great ride.

It will be interesting to compare the same ponies made by Westland that will be continued by Enesco. TOPP might be better off just starting with totally new ponies and going forward. I know the 5 ponies I've seen that will be in the 1st release are really nice. Some are done by TOPP artists we are already familiar with.
Good luck to TOPP as the ponies are very popular. I have every one of them except the newest Christmas ponies. All of mine are 1E's or Pre E's. I understandably hope for Enesco to be successful in carrying the line forward.

Jan i totally agree with you, it would make much more sense for Enesco to start off with a new herd rather than take over Westlands, as i am sure there will be differences.
I am wondering what this will mean for the UK and Europe markets, aka Australia etc., already we pay twice what the TOPP cost in the States, will they be even more expensive? I also have every pony, (1st editions and pre- editions, except the xmas herd, that i will now order,) is this the end, or just a new beginning????
